Extended support for Windows Vista ends today

Windows Vista is an operating system that has not gained much trust from end users. However, Windows Vista has started major changes for the better. Public folders suddenly discontinued in personal OneDrive

The content stored in the OneDrive file-hosting service can be accessed through a web browser, application, or HTTP API. Access to files in folders shared publicly with everyone wasn’t restricted to authenticated requests only. With the deprecation of public folders, the ability to easily access OneDrive folders also disappears. I found a trick to keep the current code with minimal changes while staying up-to-date with the procedures required by the latest version of the service. Read more ›

Czech keyboard for macOS and Windows suitable for programming

Every keyboard layout seems downright inappropriate to me. Either for programming or for writing a Czech text. I stubbornly refuse to adapt to the technique and insist that the technique adapt to me. Of course, I require the same key layout regardless of whether the keyboard is connected to a Windows or macOS computer. It could not have turned out differently than by creating a custom key layout for both of these operating systems. Read more ›

Forced and nonsensical browser selection is finally a thing of the past

I bought a computer, signed in with my Microsoft account, chose a background color for my Start screen, and got to work. However, the undisturbed use of my computer was suddenly made uncomfortable by an update that forced me to choose a browser. I bought a Windows device, so I want to use the browser that comes with Windows. However, the European Commission had a different opinion in 2009. It forced me to choose the browser again. Although I didn't want any change, Internet Explorer was unpinned from the taskbar. Read more ›

Running Windows from an external USB storage device began to be proposed in Redmond quite a long time ago. This article discusses why this technology has evolved, what is needed for it, and what scenarios it is intended for.
