In the first half of 2009, the second service pack for Office 2007 will be released. It will bring support for the ODF format without the need to install a plug-in. There will also be support for PDF and XPS. In the second half of 2008, OpenOffice.org 3.0 will be released, which will bring support for Open XML. The mutual incompatibility between the Windows and Unix worlds will thus begin to blur in the field of office documents.
