The November cumulative security update for Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 is available on Windows Update. It fixes several vulnerabilities and includes 12 improvements. Filtering of obsolete ActiveX elements is expanding. Enterprise mode gets more options. An update to Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 8.1 was also released. If you're set to install updates automatically, you don't need to take any action.
Enterprise Mode
Enterprise Mode Site List manager now allows you to set which specific rendering mode to use for which pages. You can learn more about Internet Explorer rendering modes at my lecture at MS Fest.
ActiveX filtering
ActiveX filtering now works in Internet Explorer 9 on Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2. Starting today, outdated versions of Silverlight are being blocked alongside deprecated versions of Java.
