In January, no security updates were released for Internet Explorer itself. However, Microsoft has released a security update for Adobe Flash Player, which Adobe considers critical. The vulnerability allows an attacker to crash a system or take control of it. If you have automatic installation of updates turned on, you don't need to take any action because the app is distributed via Windows Update. Otherwise, install the update as soon as possible.
All systems running Internet Explorer version 10 and higher are affected. Namely, Windows 8 and 8.1 of all architectures and Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 except Core editions.
